Bharat Travels was established in June, 1946 by it’s founders Mr.S.M.Keshavan, Mr.R.S.Subramanya Rao and Mr.T.V.Subba Rao with a share capital of Rs.100,000. It managed to survive through the post-independence market conditions and grew into a consistently profit making strong organization.
Mr.Keshavan with his team formulated strategies for shaping the new travel market by predicting the direction of the economy in Independent India. They tilled a barren economy to sow seeds knowing it will yield a domestic market. It did: the Indian Travel Market.
